One punch can kill and ruined lives .
65How many times have you heard on the news about a person being killed or injured by one punch.Yes one punch that's all it takes to kill a person or make the person injured for life. In Western Australia where I live new laws have been brought in because its getting out of hand these one punch situations.
Most of the time it's alcohol fueled, you go out on a night with your mates you have a few drinks someone bumps into you by mistake and you lash out killing that person and then spending your life in jail. That's how it usually happens and you wake up in jail knowing you have killed a person because of your stupid immature actions. You don't even have to punch someone, a rough push and someone can land hard on the pavement or curb and that can fracture the skull causing the same kind of injury. Also something as simple as a knock to the side of ones head and striking the temple can be fatal, this can happen too easily.
One way we can stop this happening is becoming more aware of the one punch law and teaching our children about the dangers of going out and starting fights because lets face it the next person affected by this one punch one kill could be your son or daughter because lets face even more disturbing facts that girls are more prone to fights in these days compared to years ago. weather defending themselves or during an outburst of violence themselves. Another thing that might bring the message home to some offenders is to have them work with or help care for those who have been injured in these mindless acts, it just might be the ticket that helps people to open their eyes to think things through before it is too late.

Its crazy that you can actually kill someone with one punch but its true. Whats really dangerous is a bar type atmosphere where there so many sharp objects lying around. A friend of mine was killed by a poolstick many years ago.
Good reminder that you should only fight if its self defense.
I almost died a few years back after one unexpected punch (by a drunk) put me on my back. I hit my head on the gutter and got a base of skull fracture. I wasn't supposed to wake up. I did actually wake up about 3 weeks later and spent the next 2-3 months in a brain injury ward. It took me 3-4 years before I could walk straight without bumping into walls accidentally or to stop falling over a random times. It took a couple of years before I could drive again. I can no longer sky-dive due to pressure changes and I can no longer smell. I have constant tinnitus and can't handle high-frequency noises (like kids squealing) due to a broken cochlear as well.
The sad part of this is that the guy who did it ran off before the police got there. We know who it was but because the only witnesses were two of his mates, he got away with it.
All of this from one punch. Don't do it!!!

Wasn't there a famous cricketer in Australia, who died like that. I can never kill anyone that is not in my fiber. I mean we can't create a human being ourselves why take another one's life. Before we used to be angry but seldom went beyond a few fists or mostly words, but now it seems it is almost a violent fight for even a small argument.
