fallout 3 game of the year edition ps3 A dud ?

I have played fallout 3 the original version by Bethesda soft works company and I love it, it really is a fantastic game with heaps to do and full of hours of entrainment but my enjoyment of this game has been dampened by the freezing issue and the new version has it as well but worse than the original fallout 3. When Bethesda decided to release other add on to the game I decide to buy this version because this version includes all the five add ons .So when I received my copy I looked forward to playing it, but now with all freezing going on in the game I'm prepared to throw in the bin. The game has a reputation on the net already that because of the freezing gamers are not happy and most gamers wont buy this version because of it. My question to Bethesda soft works if they knew these problem existed why did they release this game for sale surly they must of known about all the backlash they would receive or maybe dollars came first and fix it after I must say this is not just ps3 but xbox 360 and other console users have the same problem, So far I can't count the number of times I have had to restart the game and play again I have a brand new ps3 the 250g one so I know its not that I have even emailed Bethesda and I'm yet to receive a reply. Good to see some good customer service from bethesda soft works "NOT" also I live in Australia there is no contact details for Bethesda or any company that deals with Bethesda soft works its only a UK contact details and I'm not ringing the UK from Australia I can tell you. I also rang PlayStation Australia support line they were as useful as tits on a bull and couldn't really care about my concern to them its all about the big bucks not some guy complaining about a game that has freezing problems but Li stern Bethesda and Sony I'm not one guy look on the net look at most of the gaming forum millions of gamers are complaining about the same problem I'm sure Bethesda might get off their arse and get a some kind of solution to these freezing problems but when is anybody's guess? so in the mean time if you see on the selves think twice about buying it because if you do buy you might be temped like me to throw this game in the bin or worse still break your console altogether.

yes Morgue it is I have really enjoy this game but its the freezing which bugs me .
i think is a really good game, but borderlands is probably better.

dudes this game is SCREWED- Mulder is 110% right,its not just me or him,gamers EVERYWHERE who have Fallout 3 the Game of The Year Edition is experiencing the same freezing n stalling for this game. u gotta understand its not like it freezes once n then thats it,i can deal with that,its that it sometimes freezes 2,3 times in a single DAY,n everyday it stalls at least once,thats a given n if u r like me who turns the autosave off so u can save whenever u want,if u completed a mission n did not save n then it stalls?well my friend,then-u r screwed. maybe Bethesda will get their heads out fo their asses n put out a patch or something,until then check out Borderlands-i got it,its fun.

Mulder im in W.A aswell and im pulling my hair out.Fallout3 GOTYE would be the best if IT FRIGGEN WORKED!2 of the 5 expansions cant even be accessed because of freezing. im not playing it again because ive wasted 60+ hours already on it. they better fix it or be known world wide for being dodgey
unreal Mantis I know how you feel you know I have sent a few emails to bethesda soft works even a link to this hubpage but I have heard nothing back as usual its disgracee it really is to be treated this way .
i to have the same problem. i emailed the company and i got a reply.
they siad they are working on it, but didnt say when they would have the patch out to fix it.

I've mailed them too, no reply. I'm done with this game until they patch it, if they do. I'm not done complaining though, and I think it might help. We should keep whining until they give in. :)
But it bugs me that I'm not going to be done with this game before New Vegas, because I suspect NV will have some suble improvements which are going to make FO3 feel more obsolete.
I never even got to Broken Steel before the freezing became unbearable (during Point Lookout).

I just started playing this game a few weeks ago and everything was great until I went to evergreenmills foundry. When I try to leave the building back out to capital wasteland the game just stays on the loading screen and does nothing. Funny thing is the loading screen with the slides works fine, but it can be on for hours and it will still be flipping through slides and when I try to quit the game it restarts the ps3. It is may 2011 and how the hell can a game that is 3 years old still not work properly.
